Registration Instruction

1. Paper Registration

At least one author of each accepted paper must register at the full rate of US$600. An author with multiple accepted papers must pay the full rate registration fee (US$600) for each accepted paper. Payment must be received by May 5, 2014 in order for the paper to be included in the proceedings.

Student registration includes all sessions, lunches, dinner, and coffee break.

2. Detailed guidelines for Conference Registration from the mainland of China

3. Detailed guidelines for Conference Registration from areas and countries other than the mainland of China

For participants from areas and countries other than the mainland of China, please fill in the form online https://www.hkws.org/registration/wasa2014/reg.html

Please note that:

(1). We charge the transactions in Hong Kong currencies.

(2). Participants can either pay by credit card or bank transfer.

(3). After participants submit the registration form, they will receive an email acknowledgement about their submission. This email is also cc'ed to wasa2014hit@gmail.com for record keeping. At this point, the payment is not confirmed yet.

(4). Even if participants pay by credit card, the payment confirmation is not instant. Instead, we will process the transactions in a batch mode and pass the information to the bank. Once we receive confirmation from the bank, then we will issue a confirmation email to the participant confirming the registration. This email is again cc'ed to wasa2014hit@gmail.com for record keeping.

(5). If participants pay by bank transfer, they need to initiate the bank transfer first and get a copy of the deposit slip. When they register, they need to upload a scanned copy of the bank transfer slip at the same time. It may take up to a couple of weeks before we eventually get the payment. Afterwards, we will issue a confirmation email to the participant which is again cc'ed to wasa2014hit@gmail.com for record keeping.

4. Visas

Traveling to China from overseas may need a visa. Often a tourist visa is convenient for conference participation, and to get a tourist visa from many countries can be quite easy. However, there are cases where it is not easy to get a tourist visa to China, in which case an invitation letter from the conference may be helpful (but cannot guarantee a visa to be issued).
